Our pride. Your joy since 1994
Established over 30 years ago, Castle Coachworks is a Northamptonshire based independent specialist body shop that started from humble beginnings.
Castle Coachworks Northampton are a family company, proudly built on our quality reputation and traditional values. Over the years our vehicle repair business has grown from strength to strength. Building from a base as an insurance-approved repairer, Castle have progressed into the Manufacturer approved sector, expanding to a 40-strong workforce.
Where it all started
Castle Coachworks was formed through the combined experience and ambition of three directors, each with a background in the automotive repair industry. Brian Lennon, now Business Development Director, originally ran his own small operation, B&E Autocare, from a garage at the bottom of his sister Rita Lennon’s garden. Rita, who had built her career in the automotive aftersales market and now serves as Finance Director, joined forces with Brian in 1994, investing in the business and helping to drive its growth.
With their combined efforts, the business moved to its first dedicated premises on Brockton Street in Kingsthorpe, where it was rebranded as Castle Coachworks. Around this time, Darren Browne, who had been managing the body shop at the garage they acquired, came on board as the third director. Together, the three brought their skills, experience, and shared vision to establish and grow Castle Coachworks into a unified company.
