Knowledge is power after all so we make sure that our team has access to ongoing training and courses throughout the year, to develop skills, build expertise and stay at the forefront of our sector.
As approved repairers for many premium brands, our technicians attend regular manufacturer courses to attain the required levels to meet their standards. This forms a vital part of our auditing process and is critical for issuing customers with our guarantee certificates. These manufacturer-specific courses range from new model awareness, annual renewal, or refresher skills-based courses, to more specialised programs such as Mercedes-Benz Aluminium Welding. This is evidenced by being only one of three approved body shops for Mercedes-Benz full structural aluminium repairs in the UK.

Over the past ten years, there has also been a rapid growth in electric and hybrid vehicle deployment. This trend shows no signs of abating, as the world’s largest manufacturers are set to release even more new EV models to meet the demand and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Castle have been quick to respond, ensuring our expert technicians are qualified to be able to deliver repairs for this sector.
Training is not limited to the body shop. Our team of Vehicle Damage Assessors are recertified annually, keeping them up to date with the latest versions of our Audaenterprise Gold (Global Claims Centre) estimating system, helping us to assess and process repairs more accurately and efficiently for our customers.

Parts Administrator
We are looking to employ a motivated, organised individual with some motor trade experience to join our busy Parts Department. In the role of Parts Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting the smooth running of the parts department at our manufacturer-approved accident repair centre. The key characteristics of this job role are listed below and must be delivered consistently in line with the business processes:
- Stock management, allocating parts into stock and stockroom organisation
- Accepting Deliveries, booking parts onto the Autoflow management system
- Chasing parts orders, back orders, getting updates and sending feedback to the shop floor
- Deal with returned parts awaiting credit, sending proof of returns to dealers, booking on of credit notes onto the jobs & scanning and attaching to the job, scanning over of copies to purchase ledge
- Live updates of communications and orders on management systems
- Acting on queries from suppliers and answering the phone
- Assisting with telephone answering and queries from suppliers & sites
- Assisting with supplier reports and feeding information back to supplier
- Return cost awaiting credit chasing of return notes, sending proof of returns to dealers, booking on of credit notes onto the jobs & scanning and attaching to the job, scanning over of copies to purchase ledger
- Liaising with the workshop controller
The ideal candidate will:
- Be proactive with good attention to detail and time management skills
- Trustworthy numerate, and confident
- Have good computer literacy
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have an interest in cars and mechanics

Vehicle Paint sprayer/ prepper
Castle Coachworks are looking for a Vehicle Paint sprayer/ prepper to join our leading accident repair centre and bodyshop in Northampton. As an experienced paint prepper and sprayer, in this role you will be comfortable with performing the following duties:
- Preparing and spraying bodywork
- Spraying to manufacturer specifications and maintaining our perfect finish
- Maintaining spray equipment and paint shop
- Keeping a tidy paint shop and paint storage area
- Understanding of correct paint storage and inventory of paints and equipment
You will preferably have come from a similar accident repair or bodyshop background and will have a full clean UK driving license.
You will need to be self-motivated, organised, have good communication skills, and excellent attention to detail. You will be committed to delivering outstanding customer service and upholding quality craftmanship, ensuring repairs are carried out correctly the first time.
